Tigrigna is spoken by about 11 million people around the world. In Ethiopia, Tigrigna is the third most spoken language. The Tigrai constitute the fourth largest ethnic group in the country after the Oromo, Amhara, and Somali, who also speak Afro-Asiatic languages. In Eritrea, Tigrigna is by far the most spoken language and is a working language in offices along with Arabic, where it is used by around 55% of the population.
